A couple of weeks back, in a local music shop, I came across some semi abandoned and therefore heavily discounted KT88s. I snapped 5 at a price of 1 Eur each 5 EUR well spent, if you ask me

Although I’m not 100% sure, I think the old price in Fr might be referring to 1525LUF which would be roughly 37Eur.

Bargain put aside, I may not have an immediate use for them. Perhaps I’ll use these in Vebran 1.0 in the expected push-pull configuration or, as I also like to think, at some point I’ll start a new single-ended little project and get one of these to work as a Class A triode. Stay tuned to find out; you know, between now and 25 months or so
